Stage Productions

New upcoming stage project:

A Hole In This World  (Music-Theater)

There is an invisible part in everyone. Something hidden away or disregarded by the outerworld. A whole society might live underneath the one we know! Traveling that parallel world, we will soon find ourselves amidst an undertow of life's facets whirling around our ears, eyes and hearts.

A Hole In This World is a genre-crossing theater, that relates to individual ways of coping with traumatic experiences. Exploring personal landscapes of different characters, we follow them onto their own unique journeys to freedom and peace.

Performer, writer and illustrator Marie Seeger and musician, composer, photo- and videographer René Barth fuse their abilities to create a piece, where they can put a spot on the invisible souls among us and the hidden parts of societies consciousness. They aim to give us a glimpse on narratives and soul-states mostly pathologized and kept away in the dark reflexively. While pain and trauma won't be romanticized here, but be shown as parts of human nature and profound aspects of life. It might get out of bounds, wayward, absurd and bold, graceful, wretched, wild and poetic at times -- When the mission is: to evoke those wary observers, who stand alone and spellbound in the eye of the blustering storm that is our existence.

These are some former stage productions I've been involved :

The Time Between

What happens actually between the time? Between just now and immediately? Where is the now? How can one do this now tangible? We know what has been and sense what will come but the now will be away for ever. It falls through between the time, apparently not existent, although exactly this is what makes life so attractive, this continual millisecond which we are permanently searching for.

Piano Particles

Choreographies and artistic performances intertwine with a world of sound which oscillates between classical, advanced and electronic elements. In addition, video and stage installations visualize the score in form, color and rhythm. Boundary transcending genres – music, artistry, dance, video, installation – form an emotional symbiosis.

Balagan

What happen when eight true musicians from all over the world join forces with the charismatic singer, Momo, in order to give free rein to their unbridled joy in making music? The answer to this question is supplied by Balagan, directed by Sebastiano Toma. Fiery temperament combined with international variety performances and surreal images immerse the audience in a colorful sea of feelings of the most uplifting kind. Under the direction of the Ukrainian composers, Mark Chaet and Sergej Sweschinskij, sounds are ironically and cheekily merged with classical, klezmer and tango music. International stage artists turn musical fireworks into an unforgettable experience. Balagan is a state of mind, a mood a feeling of overflowing joy, heart-touching romanticism and pure energy.

Tiger Lillies Freakshow

How big or how small one has to be To understand this world and be part of it? Are six arms enough to comfort someone? How many hearts must a women have to live her destiny? Is our hand big enough to hold everything we want?

„The Tiger Lillies Freakshow“ is like a sharp knife either opening a package full of sweets and nice things for you or stabbing a pink ballon in front of your eyes. Both of these possible scenarios are accompanied by the music of the Tiger Lillies.
